Yuqing Tian’s primary practice areas are redevelopment and structured finance.
Yuqing has extensive knowledge of New Jersey’s various financing and tax incentive programs available to developers and businesses. She also represents the firm’s clients in a variety of zoning and land use matters. She has provided guidance to clients on redevelopment, leasing, acquisition and sale transactions involving mixed use, commercial, residential, and industrial properties.
In her finance practice, Yuqing represents operating companies and project sponsors implementing sophisticated financing structures using both traditional and alternative financing sources, including federal and state tax credits and various government subsidies and incentives, such as bond/notes and mortgaged back securities. She has substantial experience conducting purchaser and seller due diligence, as well as drafting, reviewing and negotiating transaction documents.
Prior to joining NP Law, Yuqing served as an associate at a Manhattan law firm focused primarily on labor and civil rights, where she handled a variety of civil and commercial legal matters. She led the firm’s practice in seeking compensation on behalf of 9/11 victims from the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund.
Yuqing received her Juris Doctorate from University at Buffalo School of Law in 2016 and her Bachelor of Laws from Minzu University of China in Beijing, China in 2012. Yuqing is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey is pending. She is also fluent in Mandarin.
